What to Expect

We’re grateful that you're considering taking the time to be with us at Mission Road Bible Church. Your visit is special to us. We desire to be an extension of God’s grace to you and a reflection of His care for us.

A quick way to get to know us is by taking a look at our mission statement:

We exist to magnify God and spread a passion for His glory by making disciples and shepherding them to value Jesus Christ above all else, in every dimension of life, as regulated by the Word of God.

We trust that you will find our church to be one that loves our Savior and demonstrates His love toward one another. We invite you to join us in our desire and effort to know Christ and make Him known in the Kansas City area.

Some Things To Know for your visit:

Parking:  There are a couple of spots reserved for visitor parking. As you enter, drive to the back side of the church and turn down the second row of parking spots. If you arrive close to service time and find it difficult to locate a space, you are free to park in the neighbooring city lot to the North of our property, or in the south portion of the Shawnee Mission East parking lot (also north of our property)

Entering our Building:  When you walk through our doors, we have people to greet and welcome you to Mission Road. They will help direct you to locations depending on the time of your arrival and your particular needs.

Worship Services:  Our Sunday services begin at 8:30 and 10:30. They are identical services that includes worship through music, the reading of Scripture, verse-by-verse exposition of the Bible – sermons that explain what the Bible says and what the Bible means. After each service, one of our Elders will be available at our Prayer Room for prayer and discussion. We invite you to stop by our Guest Reception Desk if you have further questions. There you can speak with one of our Elders, let us know you were visiting, and receive a small gift we have for you to say thanks for being our guest.

Kids at MRBC:  We offer childcare for the entire service for infants through age 3. Kids ministry is available for children ages 4 years old through 5th grade during the sermon time. A slide will dismiss children during the song before the sermon begins. Parents can check-in children for kids ministry at the check-in station near the main entrance before the service begins, and nursery-age children can be checked in downstairs at the nursery desk. You can go here to learn more about kids ministry at MRBC.
